Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition Fees and Payment Policy

The initial year* tuition fee at 5IN begins at NT$220,000 per semester (excluding students receiving half or full financial aid. See section on 5IN financial aid below), amounting to a total of  NT$440,000 for two semesters. The semester fee covers all expenses (excluding for the purchase of a new student laptop), such as teaching materials, equipment, project activities, field trips, and insurance, etc. There is also a required NT$30,000 fee for purchase of a computer for incoming students, as all students at 5IN will use laptops of the same specifications.

New students must complete tuition payment and submit the required documents within two weeks from the date 5IN issues the acceptance letter and payment invoice to confirm enrollment. Failure to submit the payment and required documents by the deadline will be regarded as a forfeiture of the admission offer. For continuing students, tuition invoices will be sent 30 days before the start of each semester, and payments must be completed within two weeks of receipt to maintain enrollment eligibility.

Payment instructions will be provided via email, and all fees are to be remitted via bank transfer to the institution’s designated bank account. Our administration office will verify receipt of payment within five business days from the date of the transfer. We will then issue an official receipt or proof of payment by registered mail or email within five business days of confirmation.

*Progressively Declining Tuition Policy

5IN aims for all enrolled students to complete the full six years of secondary education at the institution, allowing them to fully acquire work processes, thinking habits, tools, and skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. To support this mission, 5IN has introduced an innovative tuition policy which will help families better support the growth and development of their child. Each year at 5IN will see a decrease in tuition costs, as the facilities and tools that students will utilize to facilitate their learning will be progressively acquired in the early stages of their learning with 5IN, meaning that there is no need for these expenditures in later years. The purpose of tuition is to support student development, not make profit.

As students advance through the 5IN program, they will have acquired the abilities to pursue more personalized paths to their own growth and what they wish to accomplish. 5IN hopes that the progressive reductions to tuition can be dedicated towards helping families support their development towards directions which find personal value and passion in. This is an investment in the futures of 5IN students.

Regardless of whether students pay full or half tuition (apply below) in their first year, annual tuition decreases by NT$20,000 (as shown in the table below).

5IN Financial Aid - Quality Education Should be Available to All

5IN believes that the path toward gaining a high-quality non-traditional education should be open to all. We welcome students from all backgrounds. It is through the participation of students with varied upbringings, interests, and points of view that our learning and growth better reflect real society, with all of its intricacies and nuances. The inclusivity and diversity of our population is an important factor in the strength of our education.

In order to better make available what we believe is the best education for training the new generation for the future, 5IN allocates two full-ride and two half-tuition-covered enrollment opportunities in each and every class. Eligibility is determined by tax return records from the previous financial record-keeping year.
